Who can claim tax refund?

Anyone who is a tourist from a non – EU country can claim the tax refund having spent the minimum amount of 200 PLN including VAT. The tax refund can be obtained provided that the purchased goods are taken outside the European Union within 30 days in the original package in hand luggage.

How do I obtain tax refund?

It is very easy! While purchasing goods, see if the store has a TAX FREE sign or ask the staff. Then ask the staff for a TAX FREE form and fill in all the information required. Remember to save the receipt! At the border crossing the Customs Office can confirm on the TAX FREE document the export of goods from the European Union territory. Now you have it all!  Tax may be refunded by an operator who provides the tax refund service (ex. Cash Refund offices or selected Currency Exchange offices).

Which payment methods are eligible for Tax Free Refund?
Cash, credit and debit cards, as well as mobile payments are eligible for tax refund. Please note that some of the tax refund operators do not support any pre-paid cards or any types of refunding (gift cards etc.)
